At Kaiser Permanente, we strive to provide you the best possible experience every time you come in for care at one of our medical centers. As part of our focus on your experience, we’ve launched a project to update and refresh each facility.
Many of the changes you’ll see are a result of feedback we’ve received from patients and employees, and we hope you’ll notice positive updates from the moment you arrive. Simplifying how you find your way around the building, improving public areas, upgrading exam rooms to enhance privacy and comfort, and creating a consistent experience at each facility are among the goals of this work. The changes will create family and small group areas, along with comfortable spaces to rest, read, or play. Many locations will have a community-focused area, where you can learn about local events, activities, community resources, and opportunities for health education.
Inspired by our beautiful Washington geography, colors will reflect the Puget Sound, the rainforests of the Olympic peninsula and the beauty of Eastern Washington’s Palouse. Natural light and green views will help create a calm and relaxing environment.
What to expect
Renovation work will continue in phases throughout the year, with a goal to complete improvements to all facilities in Washington — a total of 2.1 million square feet — by the end of 2018.
Medical centers will be open regular hours during renovation. Our commitment to your total health includes ensuring the experience you have when you visit Kaiser Permanente supports your journey to be well and thrive.
