KP providers making news

Since Kaiser Permanente providers are trusted experts in their fields, they’re often asked to share their knowledge with local communities. Here’s a roundup of what they’ve had to say lately.

  • Ginny Sugimoto, MD, a family medicine physician in Port Orchard, explains in a recent Kitsap Sun column why shifting our focus to consuming high-fiber fruits and vegetables is one of the best ways to reach a healthy weight and maintain a well-balanced diet.
  • Bob Riggs, MD, a family medicine physician for Kaiser Permanente in Spokane, calls on patients (and parents) to have difficult conversations with their teens to empower them to make healthy decisions in a recent column from The Spokesman-Review.
  • Susanna Block, MD, a pediatrician at Kaiser Permanente Capitol Hill Campus in Seattle, talks about back-to-school basics, including routine, sleep, and scheduling, in the Madrona News. Read about it on page 4.
