Fitness classes and programs designed to encourage older adults to move more while building strength and flexibility and improving balance can help you stay strong and active. Becoming more fit can also help prevent falls.
Kaiser Permanente offers 2 no-additional-cost options to support our members’ physical activity goals:
Silver&Fit
Silver&Fit®1 offers memberships to hundreds of fitness facilities in Washington state and across the country.
It’s available at no additional cost2 to Kaiser Permanente Medicare Advantage (HMO) plan members. When you join a fitness facility through Silver&Fit, you can use the facility’s exercise equipment and take a variety of fitness classes. Other benefits of this program include access to a mobile app, up to 2 home fitness kits per year with 35 to choose from, a quarterly newsletter, a library of online classes and healthy aging content, and more.
Enroll online and find a fitness center near you. You can also enroll through a Silver&Fit Customer Service agent by calling 1-877-750-2746 (TTY 711), Monday through Friday, 5 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Enhance®Fitness
Enhance®Fitness classes, which are led by nationally certified instructors, welcome all levels of fitness. You can participate even if you prefer to exercise while seated instead of standing. The classes are available at no additional cost to Kaiser Permanente Medicare Advantage (HMO) plan members.
Classes are held at multiple times on weekdays at the Kaiser Permanente Capitol Hill Campus. They’re also offered at other locations such as senior centers and retirement communities in King, Snohomish, Thurston, and Kitsap counties.
Typically, classes include a warmup, an aerobic workout, a strength-training session, and stretching. The EnhanceFitness program has been honored by the National Council on Aging as one of the top 10 physical activity programs for older adults in the United States.

Kaiser Permanente is an HMO plan with a Medicare contract. Enrollment in Kaiser Permanente depends on contract renewal.
